Jalon Perryman will return to Ball State University's men's basketball team for the upcoming season, head coach Billy Taylor said.
Perryman, a junior, announced he was transferring April 18. He did not sign with another university during the summer and returned to classes at Ball State. Perryman was recruited by former head coach Tim Buckley and was one of six scholarship players not to transfer after former head coach Ronny Thompson replaced Buckley.
Perryman scored double digit points in four of the first five games under Thompson, but saw his time decreased as the season progressed. Perryman did not play in eight games last season.
In the 2006-07 season he averaged 3.7 points per game in 14.2 minutes per game. As a freshman he averaged 6.2 points per game in 22 minutes per game and started 21 of 28 games.
While Perryman will return to Ball State, C.J. Clark, who transferred from Ball State after Billy Taylor was named head coach, will attend Northwestern State University in Louisiana.
