For the second consecutive week the Ball State University men's volleyball team is the No. 7 ranked team in the nation.
The Cardinals (14-6, 7-1 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) received 138 votes, two more votes than they received last week, to remain at No. 7 in the top-15 coaches poll that was released Monday.
This is the highest ranking for Ball State since the 2003 season.
In addition, the Cardinals remain the highest ranked team in the MIVA. Ohio State University (10-6, 6-1 MIVA) moved up one spot to No. 11 with 91 votes, and Lewis University (16-6, 5-2 MIVA) moved into the national rankings at No. 15, after winning three matches last week, including a five-game road win against then-No. 15 Loyola-Chicago.
Ball State did not play a match last week, and the Cardinals' next match will be against IPFW at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Worthen Arena.
