Former Ball State University right tackle Robert Brewster will miss his entire rookie season with the Dallas Cowboys, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Brewster, a third-round pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, had surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle earlier this month. Complications from the shoulder injury suffered in June and the surgery will not have him in playing condition by the beginning of the season.

Brewster's agent, Cliff Brady, said in the article that Brewster is disappointed and will still be around the team to be able to learn the system and for therapy.

The four-year starter never missed one of Ball State's 50 games due to injury.
