Ball State organizations prepare for holiday season

A Muncie TUBACHRISTMAS 1:00 p.m., Dec. 13 in Pruis Hall Price: Free

The Harvey Phillips Foundation presents an hour of traditional Christmas carols performed by an ensemble of tuba players. About 40 tuba players from the East Central Indiana area will be performing, including the Ball State Euphonium Ensemble.

Holidays Around the World 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,Dec. 8-12 in the Noyer Center International Cafe Price: $7.30 or one dinner meal card swipe

The Noyer Center International Cafe will be serving traditional holiday meals from the United States, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom and France.

Planetarium Show: A Christmas Double Feature 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., Dec. 12-13 in CP 90 in the Cooper Science Building Price: Free

The Planetarium will be showing two 30 minute programs, "George and Oatmeal Save Santa" and "The Christmas Star."

A Holiday Gift to the Community 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Dec. 7 in the Sursa Performance Hall Price: Free

All six Ball State University choirs: Chamber Choir, Statesman, Concert Choir, University Singers, Women's Chorus and the University Choral Union will be singing secular and sacred holiday compositions spanning seven different languages and 800 years.

A Sleigh Ride Together with You 7:30 p.m., Dec 13 in John R. Emen's Auditorium Dec. 13 Price: $10 for adults, students get in free

The America's Hometown Band will perform renditions of classic holiday songs. The show features the Muncie Children's Choir, yo-yo artist Noel Kunz, vocal soloists Mandy Wortz and Myles Ogea, trombonist Will Frazier and Ball State University singing group The Cardinal Five.
