Ball State University students can meet Democrat candidates for election races at the local, state and national levels at a forum tonight.
The event, hosted by the University Democrats, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Letterman Building Room 125.
Circuit court judge candidates Ralu Wolf, Tom Cannon and Diane Frye will attend along with Rep. Dennis Tyler, Sen. Sue Errington and Barry Welsh, candidate for U.S Congress in Indiana District 6. A surrogate representing the Barack Obama campaign will also take questions.
"This will give Ball State University students a chance to learn about their local, state and national government," Matthew Kindig, a member of the University Democrats, said.
The focus of the event will be issues concerning college students and young voters, Kindig said. Issues such as college tuition costs, health care and the creation of new jobs will be discussed.
Students are encouraged to ask questions to the speakers to promote open discussion, Kindig said.
Doors will open at 7 p.m., and punch and cookies will be provided.
