Frog Baby sits covered in snow after about eight inches of snow hit Ball State during the weekend. East Central Indiana is expected to get more snow Monday night.

INDIANAPOLIS — Another big snowstorm could be headed toward Indiana.

Just days after Friday's heavy snowfall over much of the state, the National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch from late Monday night through late Tuesday night.

The watch covers all but the northern third of the state and part of southeastern Indiana.

The snowfall from Friday lead to Ball State University canceling Saturday classes. Snow depth, wind, equipment and effectiveness of clearing crews, among other things, can factor into the decision to cancel events and classes, according to previous Daily News reports.

The weather service said the storm brought 9 inches across the eastern sections of central Indiana. Reports of drifts up to 4 feet high were reported in Delaware County.

Forecasters say strong low pressure is expected to bring snow starting Monday night and continuing through Tuesday night. More than six inches of snow are possible by Tuesday morning.

The weather service says wind gusts in excess of 30 mph could create significant blowing and drifting snow.

Forecasters say there's still considerable uncertainty about the timing of the storm and the specific amounts of snow it could drop.

To the person that sasid that BSU sucks at snow removal. We may not be perfect but I challenge you to look 1 block in any direction off of campus then tell us we suck.

So, apparently some of us think that it is acceptable to penalize students that are not fortunate enough to live on or near campus. The university is looking more like a school only for those living in dormatories. If the opinion of the previous comment is shared by the administration perhaps the university should not even offer their product to others.

All the sidewalks I have walked have been cleared. Considering that most of the student body lives on, or next to campus, the issue of Muncie roads not being cleaned is mostly restricted to a few distance travelers. While I feel for those who may be missing classes due to unsafe conditions; why should the majority of students miss classes? If the problem is that those outside of campus will be missing courses because they dont feel it safe to drive, why would you want ALL of the students to miss classes? There won't be days added on at the end of the semester, will there? Perhaps we could make them up during Spring Break? That would go over well...
If you live so far that you feel unsafe traveling, DON'T TRAVEL.

The roads around the area are becoming worse. There have been absences in many classes. Travel will become more dangerous over the next day. Ball State remains open. The fact that the administration is unwilling to consider the safety of students that commute shows an irrational and dangerous hard-headedness.

I would suggest to the DN Staff to add a web site link that takes readers to a weather update, such as www.weather.com. It would allow readers to get the most out of the Daily News web site.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter how much snow falls. BSU sucks at snow removal, I've never seen anything like it.
