WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Exhibition against Hoosier Lady Stars canceled

Ball State University's exhibition game scheduled for Thursday against the Hoosier Lady Stars has been cancelled.

The school announced that a recent NCAA rules interpretation prevents teams from playing non-NCAA Division I four-year college institutions. The Cardinals had played the Lady Stars every year since at least 2005.

Ball State will now open the season Nov. 13 at the University of Michigan.
