Cox offers player's perspective as assistant

After averaging 27.1 points and 6.0 assists per game as a senior basketball player at Blue River Valley High School in Springport, graduate student Kyle Cox received a basketball scholarship from Ball State University in 2002. In the spring of 2004, however, after two years with the basketball team, Cox decided to dedicate his time with the men's golf team and head coach Mike Fleck.

Cards' new assistant spent past four years with Colorado State

A couple weeks before the spring scrimmage, Ball State University football coach Brady Hoke announced on Wednesday the addition of former Colorado State University assistant coach Darrell Funk to his staff.
Funk, whose first day with the Cardinals' program was March 17, will tutor Ball State's offensive line during the upcoming season.

Coaches, players attempt to ready for quick-tempo offense

Regardless of the practices and film sessions, coach Joel Walton said he knows the No. 7 Ball State University men's volleyball team will not be fully prepared for No. 1 Penn State University's offense at the start of Saturday's match. Unlike most teams the Cardinals played this season, the Nittany Lions run a quick-tempo offense with the sets to the outside attackers having a smaller arch and the ball arriving quicker to speed up the game's pace, Walton said.

BSU scores 11 runs during second inning, gets 20-12 victory

Down 3-1 to Anderson University going into the bottom of the second inning Wednesday, the Ball State University baseball team needed a boost.
The Cardinals gave themselves that boost by cranking five home runs in the inning, putting 11 runs on the board and building a lead the Ravens couldn't match, powering Ball State to a 20-12 win.

Players, coach aim to win conference title for 3rd time in 4 years

At the start of the spring season, coach Bill Richards sat down with his team and ironed out a definite goal for the upcoming schedule: win the Mid-American Conference tournament.
The first step to accomplishing that goal comes when the Ball State University men's tennis team plays at Chicago State University Thursday in its first conference match of the season.
