Routine performers from Village bars headline Ball State comedy group's evening of stand up acts that poked fun at everything from Facebook to music

About 150 students attended Pruis Hall's Night of Comedy on Tuesday for a night of stand-up comedy and a student directed comedic short film.
Eight comedians took the stage, lampooning every subject from Facebook to drugs to struggles with the opposite sex.

Law suit says negligence, distress, recklessness, stemmed from Sept. 2007 elevator entrapment

Allegations of mocking and name calling were among more than a dozen claims in a lawsuit filed against Ball State University. The lawsuit was in response to a September 2007 incident in which seven people were trapped in an elevator for about two hours.
James and Carla Berry and Corrine and Veronica Castillo filed the lawsuit against Ball State, Ball State Police Department and Cpl.

The Ball State Department of Women's Studies is playing Santa Claus for Ball State single-parent students this winter.
The department and Iota Iota Iota, a women's studies honor society, will have their annual Holiday Wish List toy drive to serve the needs of single-parent students during the holiday season, said Julee Rosser, Interim Director of Women's Studies.
