Golden Hurricane dominates Ball State in rainy GMAC Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. - With Ball State University trailing 14 points at halftime of Tuesday's GMAC Bowl, a torrential down pour accompanied by almost 40 mph winds hit Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
It was a prophetic sign of things to come.
The Golden Hurricane of the University of Tulsa blew the Cardinals away with a dominating defensive shutout in the second half, helping them to a 45-13 in the GMAC Bowl.

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Ball State University men's basketball team defeated host Eastern Michigan University 46-42 on Saturday to improve its record to 6-7 (1-0 Mid-American Conference).
With the win, the Cardinals match their total number of wins from last season, when Ball State finished 6-24 overall.

MOBILE, Ala. - Nate Davis started Tuesday's game at the GMAC Bowl hoping for an impressive, bounce-back performance to improve his draft stock for the upcoming NFL Draft.
As the final seconds ticked off in a 45-13 loss to the University of Tulsa, it was apparent Davis might have played himself into staying at Ball State University for his senior season.

Ball State beats Eastern Michigan by seven

The Ball State University women's basketball team won its first game against a Mid-American Conference team. Ball State defeated Eastern Michigan University 62-55.
Forward Danielle Gratton led the team with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Ball State players scored in the double digits including Emily Maggert, Porchia Green and Jade Barber.
