Meyer had a match-high 19 kills as the No. 13 Ball State University men's volleyball team eliminated Lewis University 30-26, 30-27, 30-26 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament quarterfinals Saturday.

'Terrible defense' to blame for weekend losses to Redhawks

Nine errors and seven unearned runs led to a pair of losses for the Ball State University softball team against Mid-American Conference foe Miami University Saturday and Sunday.
Ball State (19-28,6-8 MAC) committed five errors in Saturday's 5-0 loss to Miami (20-31-1,8-6 MAC).

Golf team struggles, finishes 44 strokes behind winner MSU

With less than two weeks until the Mid-American Conference Championships, this was not the time for the Ball State University men's golf team to play poorly.
After coming off a second place finish at the Marshall Invitational, the Cardinals finished 12th out of 13 teams at the Fossum Taylor Made Invitational.

Edgardo River lasts until final nine on CBS's 'Survivor Fiji'

Ball State University graduate and former tennis player Edgardo Rivera sat at Tribal Council of "Survivor: Fiji" with a smile on his face. Then, host Jeff Probst read his name from a parchment vote.
His smile disappeared.
The next four votes were for Rivera, who graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor's Degree in advertising, and he was voted off the show Thursday.

Emma Retter had the opportunity to break the spell Miami University has put on the Ball State University women's tennis team. After winning the first set 7-5 against Victoria Pulida, she dropped the second set 7-6 in a tiebreaker, setting up a crucial third-set.

Ball State University's men's tennis team's rough season ended on a high note as the Cardinals scored a 6-1 win over Northern Illinois University Saturday, coach Bill Richards said.
The Cardinals scored the win without junior Aaron Phillips, who usually plays in the second singles spot.
