Director of basketball operations, former player charged with DWI

Kelsey Corbin, director of basketball operations for the Ball State University women's basketball team, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to Delaware County police reports.
Corbin, a three-time women's basketball captain, was arrested at 2:26 a.

Ball State University expects Lehigh University's assistant basketball coach Bob Simmons to join Billy Taylor's coaching staff, a source within the athletic department said.
Simmons started coaching at Lehigh University in 2003, after serving two years as the head coach of Delaware Valley College, a Division III program.

Defensive end Booker puts focus on team success for season

After moving from linebacker to the defensive line in his junior season, Ball State University defensive end Cortlan Booker experienced immediate success lining up in a three-point stance.
Booker, who still spends half of practice at linebacker when he's not working with defensive ends, is the top returning tackler on the defensive line with 64 tackles last season.

Former Ball State University women's volleyball player Rachel Refenes has joined the coaching staff at Lehigh University.
Refenes, who played two seasons at Ball State, was named an assistant coach Aug. 14.
