Cards look to put loss to Nebraska behind them, get first home win of 2007

Each Sunday, the Ball State University football team meets at the John W. and Janice B. Fisher Football Training Complex to give out its weekly awards and put a close to the week that came before it. After a 41-40 loss last week at the University of Nebraska, Cardinals' coach Brady Hoke said it was even more important for his team to focus on its next opponent.

Ball State University's sophomore running back MiQuale Lewis' season has ended prematurely because of an injury for a second year in a row, Cardinals' football coach Brady Hoke said Thursday.
The results of an MRI Lewis underwent Wednesday morning showed he tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.

Ball State prepares for Central Michigan following close losses

After three Mid-American Conference home games ended in one-goal defeats, two of them with a goal that abruptly ended the game, Ball State University had a week to collect itself and prepare.
At the end of all that preparation, the Cardinals get to match up with Central Michigan University, who defeated Michigan State University Wednesday, the fifth-ranked team in the country.

Cards play matches at home for first time since renovations

After weeks of practice, the Ball State University women's tennis team will finally be able to host a competition at its newly-renovated facility.
The Ball State Fall Invitational takes place today and Saturday at the reopened Cardinal Creek Tennis Center, with additional matches being held at Northside Middle School.

Offensive improvements lead team to victory in five-game match

After 13 consecutive losses, the Ball State University women's volleyball team ended the streak 34 days after it started with a 3-2 (30-28, 20-30, 30-22, 27-30, 19-17) victory against the University of Toledo.
The win makes the Cardinals 2-13 on the season and 1-2 in the Mid-American Conference.

Most BSU players travel to Notre Dame, two go to Oklahoma

The Ball State University men's tennis team enters the Tom Fallon Invitational at the University of Notre Dame shorthanded this weekend.
Most of the Cardinals will travel to Notre Dame to face Notre Dame, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Northwestern University, the University of Iowa and conference foe Western Michigan University.

Ball State begins MAC play today

As the Ball State University women's soccer team enters Mid-American Conference play this weekend, it will be reminded of last year's conference championship.
Following the Cardinals' (3-4) game against Eastern Michigan University (2-3-2) Sunday, Ball State President Jo Ann Gora and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Tom Collins will lead a ceremony and present last year's team with their conference championship rings.

A few Ball State University students will compete during half-time at Saturday's football game to win a scholarship and a chance to win a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu from GMAC Financial Services.
Five students will participate in the competition, which involves putting on football equipment.
