For the second time in his five-year career at Ball State University, guard Peyton Stovall was named to the Preseason All-Mid-American Conference Team.
Stovall was one of 10 players, and the only Cardinal, whom the MAC head coaches and media selected to the team Tuesday.
"Our program is very proud of [Stovall] and this recognition," coach Billy Taylor said in a press release. "We certainly believe he is worthy of this type of honor, and we hope through his leadership, we will have many team and individual postseason accolades."
Stovall has started 78 games in his career, and is 21 points away from becoming the 23rd player in school history to score 1,000 career points.
Last season Stovall averaged a team-high 2.3 assists per game and had 8.8 points per game, third most on the team.
Stovall was also on the Preseason All-MAC Team for the 2005-2006 season. He missed a majority of that season and received a medical redshirt after he injured his ACL for the second time in his collegiate career.
"He's been an incredible resource for our program," Taylor said. "He is Ball State basketball."
