CROSS COUNTRY: Sophomore named Runner of the Week

The Mid-American Conference named Ball State University sophomore Ali Bishel as the MAC Runner of the Week Wednesday.
Bishel earned the honor for her performance at the Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute. She finished 31st and finished the six-kilometer race in 21 minutes.
Her best finish of the year was at the Indiana Intercollegiates where she finished second overall at 17:44. She finished in the top 10 two other times in four events this year.
Bishel has led Ball State at every event this season.
It was the first time of Bishel's career that she won the MAC Runner of the Week award.spokesman John Fuxa. ''He was in one of the first responding companies.''
