BASKETBALL: 'Fan Jam' sparks spirit

Men's and women's basketball teams greet community, sign autographs

Fans said they were excited to meet the new coach and players for the Ball State University men's basketball team Tuesday at basketball "Fan Jam" and ready to move on from the Ronny Thompson era. The hundreds of fans who attended the event had the chance to meet the men's and women's basketball teams. The spectators were divided on which team they were more excited for as some said the men's, some said the women's and some said both teams are equally exciting.

Ball State walk-ons join team for event, add size to roster

Ball State University basketball fans who turned out for the "Fan Jam" at Worthen Arena Tuesday night may have noticed two new faces sitting in line to autograph posters. The Cardinals had nine players on the roster at one point, but walk-ons Dexter Hinkley and Othello Banaci have now joined the team to push the roster to 11 players.

Ball State moves up five places in tourney to end fall season

After six tournaments, the Ball State University men's golf team finally concluded its fall season. The Cardinals took fifth place out of 17 teams at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M. Tuesday. Despite being in 10th place going into the final round, the Cardinals jumped five places after shooting a team score of 279 in the last 18 holes.

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Losing streak continues

IPFW sweeps Cardinals for ninth straight loss

Playing its last non-conference match of the season, the Ball State University women's volleyball team was swept at IPFW Tuesday. The Cardinals started off losing the first game 30-22, but it was down hill from there. They lost game two 30-18, and dropped game three 30-9.
