WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL: Cards look to break nine-match losing streak

For seniors Brittany May and Angie Parrell today's match against the University of Toledo is their final regular season match in Worthen Arena.
Together the two have played in 206 matches for the Ball State University women's volleyball team in their career.
May is an outside attacker who came to Ball State from Gaston and was a graduate of Wes-Del High School. She has compiled 611 kills in her Ball State career, including 196 this season.
Parrell is the setter for the Cardinals. She came to Ball State from Black Earth, Wis. and graduated from Wisconsin Heights High School. In her career at Ball State she has 3,393 assists and 403 kills.
As for Ball State, the team enters the game 3-22 on the season, including 2-10 in the Mid-American Conference. They are on a nine-match losing streak, the second-longest in program history behind only the 13-match streak set earlier this season.
The Cardinals' last win came over a month ago when they defeated the University at Buffalo on Sept. 29. The other MAC win for Ball State came against today's opponent.
The Cardinals defeated Toledo 3-2 on Sept. 27 on the road.
Coach Dave Boos and the Ball State players were not available for comment Tuesday or Wednesday.

I would like to see a great crowd tonight for the match up vs. Toledo. I've heard so much about what a great volleyball town Muncie is. I know the team this year is having a rough go of it, but I believe the future will bring alot of promise. (Continued…)
