For the second time this week, the Ball State University softball team canceled a home doubleheader because of bad weather.

Today's scheduled doubleheader between Ball State and Butler University was canceled Wednesday because of heavy rain. No make-up date was announced for the games.

Monday, the Cardinals postponed their doubleheader against Eastern Illinois University, which was scheduled for Tuesday, until April 22 because of rain.

The doubleheader against Eastern Illinois was scheduled to be the home opener for Ball State. With the cancellations, the first home game is now slated for March 28 against Ohio University, which is also the Mid-American Conference opener.

Ball State's next game is scheduled for Monday at Valparaiso University. The Cardinals are 16-12 on the season.
