Cardinals finish regular season with win

The No. 8 Ball State University men's volleyball team defeated No. 15 Lewis 30-24, 30-23, 27-30, 30-23 on Saturday in Romeoville, Ill.
With this win Ball State (19-9, 10-2 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) concludes the regular season with its highest conference winning percentage since 2002.

Food, pride on the line in annual spring game between teammates

With the remnants of last season's International Bowl appearance still fresh, Ball State University's football team will put its exclamation point on the spring practice session at noon Saturday.

Coach is concerned by team's injuries as morale drops

Instead of feeling comfortable having the first outdoor meet of the season under its belt, the Ball State University track and field team is troubled by a series of injuries as it enters Friday's Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
Head coach Randy Heisler said last weekend's Mike Poelein Invitational, held at Purdue University, brought both encouraging successes and discouraging injuries.

The Ball State University field hockey team tied a school record by having a dozen players make the National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Academic Squad. Elizabeth Blaum, Lauren Cruz, Nicole Humphreys, Jamie Kahn, Katie Kloeckener, Gretchen Lulow, Brooke MacGillivary, Kaitlan Mitchell, Christina Niccum, Melanie Pasillas, Amanda Pavone and Maura Sawicki made the team from Ball State.

Ball State University men's basketball assistant coach Jim Molinari has accepted the head coaching position at Western Illinois University and will leave the Cardinals.
WGEM-TV in Quincy, Ill., reported late Thursday night that Molinari had beaten out Ray Harper, former longtime coach at Oklahoma City University of the NAIA, for the Leathernecks' coaching job.
