Hundreds line up to meet Palin

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) — Hundreds of people lined up at stores in Fort Wayne and Noblesville in hopes of meeting Sarah Palin.

About 700 people were already in line at 7:30 a.m. Thursday at a Meijer store in Fort Wayne where the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate was scheduled to sign copies of her bestseller, "Going Rogue," starting at noon.

Meanwhile, about 1,000 waited at 7 a.m. at a Borders store in the Indianapolis suburb of Noblesville, where the former Alaska governor was expected about 6 p.m. The store planned to have fans line up after a security check about 5 p.m.

The first 1,000 people to buy copies of the book and line up at the stores were eligible for wristbands that entitled them to have Palin autograph their books.

Palin is a quitter and her early exit from the event tells everything. This book/tour is all about her ego, dollars and possibly a future run. Why feed the beast?

Too bad only about 600 actually got theirs signed. She stopped signing at 9 pm, with about 400 people left outside. They handed out stickers with her name scribbled on them.

Absolutely inexcusable.
