Andrews, though achieving a huge accomplishment, is looking forward. The senior has plans to possibly take home some hardware as the team drives into the post-season.
The Cardinals used a seven-run 7th inning to earn a victory against Southern Indiana (2-6). Ball State (5-3) returns Friday, Mar. 1, when the Cardinals travel to Jacksonville, Florida, for a three-game series against the Dolphins (3-3).
Despite coming off a loss, the Cards are still in first place in the MAC and ranked 21st in the latest national rankings.
Monroe Central hasn't had the season they expected, but they seem poised to end the year on a high note.

Finishing the round with a score of 272 as a team, Ball State finished with its lowest scoring round since the 2005 Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational. Totaling 16 strokes under par, the Cardinals closed the competition with their best round ever, commensurate with an event’s total par count.

At No. 1 doubles, grad student Vince Orlando and junior Nathaniel Webster lost their doubles match in a tiebreak 7-6(3). At No. 2 doubles, sophomore Jacks Lancaster, who last played on Jan. 20 against Eastern Illinois, returned to the lineup to play with junior Mason Tran, but fell in a tiebreak 7-6(5).

In their second weekend series of the season, the Cardinals walked away with one win and two losses, bringing their record on the season to 4-3.
Rogers finished first overall in the event taking home the MAC championship in the pentathlon. She came in first in the 60m hurdles, shot put and long jump. She also placed fourth in the high Jump.
After the Feb. 24 game between Ball State and Eastern Michigan, it was Basheer and Yusuf Jihad's fourth time playing against each other at the collegiate level. However, this contest was the first in which each Jihad brother made the starting lineup.
The Cardinals lost 58-56 to Eastern Michigan (11-16, 4-10 MAC). Ball State (13-14, 5-9 MAC) returns to action Tuesday, Feb. 27, when the Cardinals travel to Mount Pleasant, Mich., to take on Central Michigan (16-11, 10-4) at 7 p.m.
40 minutes later and a 22-point win, Toledo (21-4, 13-1 MAC) showed why they are coming off a conference championship and still the team to beat in the MAC with their 70-48 win over the Cardinals.
Basheer Jihad recorded his ninth double-double as the Cardinals fell to Eastern Michigan 58-56.
In the match up the Ball State Cardinals (23-4, 12-2 MAC) struggled against the reigning MAC champions Toledo Rockets (21-4, 13-1 MAC), falling by a final score of 70-48.
