After winning 4-0 on Thursday against Northern Illinois, Ball State followed it up with a depressing 4-0 loss to Miami in the Mid-American Conference Tournament on Friday.

The loss to the RedHawks means the end of the season for the Cardinals.

Ball State failed to earn a single point. Miami won all three doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. The RedHawks won three out of the six singles points. The three singles victories clinched the win for Miami and ended the match early.

The loss means the end of the career of senior Georgina Thomson. Despite the 6-13 singles record this season, Thomson served as the leader on the team. In 2008-09 season, Thomson posted her best record of 10-6.

Ball State finished the season with a record of 8-17.

Miami is the No. 1 seed in the MAC Tournament and has won three straight MAC championships. The RedHawks went 8-0 against conference opponents during the regular season.
